COVID-19 Update

In mid-March we had to close our doors due to the COVID19 pandemic, along with all Ohio schools. However, even during these unchartered times, we are happy to announce that we were able to re-open House of Champions in July to welcome students from Urban Community School as they use our house for their summer reading camp. Campers have been able to use the side yards, picnic tables, and cool off inside!

Our board has been following the changing recommendations by Governor DeWine and the CDC to determine how best to open House of Champions in the fall that is safe for our staff, volunteers, and students. House of Champions will adhere to the CDC guidelines for social distancing and protocols while inside the houses. This will include:

• temperature checks
• wearing facemasks
• frequent hand washing
• full house cleaning and disinfecting each night
